Uzbek journalist and human rights activist Ruslan Sharipov was brutally attacked and injured by unindetified people in the center of Sacramento, California Capital, USA. The attack has taken place on June 18, 2008 just few blocks away from working residence of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and office of Homeland Security.

Attackers who were trying to kindap Sharipov and take him to unknown direction cut his ear with knife and beat journalist bloody with gun and fists all over his face and head.

While hold at gunpoint Sharipov was told that he would be shot in case he disagree to go with attackers in the car. Journalist was requested to "jump at the back of the car" several times, however Sharipov started to call for help. Only this saved journalist from attempt of kidnapping since attack was taking place in the center of the Sacramento.

Unindentified people didn't take anything from Sharipov. While bleeding and suffering from severe pain Sharipov offered attackers to take his car or anything and let him go. Unindentified people however refused to take journalit's car and stated that they just need him to "jump at the back of the car" thus trying to take him in unknown direction.

Attackers dropped the knife on the scene. When police arrived, officers took fingerprints, pictures and collected other evidence of the crime.

Sharipov had to go to the hospital emergency room for surgery where his right ear was sewed. However emergency room doctors said that they cannot treat his broken nose and that he needs to see specialist for that.

Sharipov was informed that two parts of his nose broken internally, one part already cannot be fixed and one can be fixed with surgery where he would need to be put asleep. And even in that case, according to the doctors, there is a possibility that more surgeries would have to be done if there is no success.

Uzbek journalist Ruslan Sharipov who had been homeless on the streets of Sacramento for a long time doesn't have medical insuarance and still awaiting for his green card status to be resolved.

This is not first accident Sharipov has to deal with.

Recently his photo camera was taken from his car. Someone placed broken glass and sharpful objects into his vehicle.

One person approached Sharipov's car and broke parts of his car as a result breaking electrical system, causing constant constant noise and non-stopping windshields.

In the past unidentified people threw some kind of powder from freeway bridge when Sharipov was driving freeway. This uknown substance/powder created clouds of smoke and complete absence of visibilty and journalist hardly managed to avoid accident.

Sharipov who suffered serious injuries in the last attack curently has to deal with serious consequences.

Consequences which could be fatal...
